ALBANY, N.Y. - ECAC Hockey has announced its men’s weekly award winners, and Brent Beaudoin (Brown), Bradley Cocca (Brown), and Keith Petruzzelli (Quinnipiac) have all been honored for the week ending February 9, 2020.
Player of the Week
Beaudoin (Sr. - Londonderry, N.H.) led the Bears to a three-point ECAC Hockey weekend, posting three points (2G, 1A) against Princeton and Quinnipiac. He assisted on the game-tying goal in an eventual 4-3 win over the Tigers on Friday, before scoring both goals in a 2-2 tie against No. 16 Quinnipiac Saturday evening.
Rookie of the Week
Cocca (Fr. - Toronto, Ont.) also recorded three points on the weekend, two of which came on the power play. He scored the game-winning goal late in the third period against Princeton on Friday night, and posted an assist in each game. He finished the weekend with a +2 on-ice rating, and four shots one goal.
MAC Goaltending Goalie of the Week
Petruzzelli (Jr. - Wilbraham, Mass.) ranked first among all league goalies that started multiple games this week, posting a 1.92 GAA and .929 save percentage. He made 25 saves in Friday’s 3-2 win over Yale, and sent aside 27 shots in a 2-2 draw at Brown on Saturday. He now has 17 wins on the season, which ranks second in ECAC Hockey and fourth in the country.
